Hesed House
Aurora, IL
As the second largest homeless shelter in the state of Illinois, Hesed House assists clients break free of homelessness by providing critical tools and resources, including housing support, legal assistance, life skills training, physical/emotional abuse support, and mental, and physical health services.
Wayside Cross Ministries
Aurora, IL
For 95 years, Wayside Cross Ministries has brought hope and recovery to impoverished, addicted, and abused men, women, and children.
The organization’s efforts are broken down into specific areas of concentration, including a Bible-based recovery program, a safe environment for abused and addicted women and children, individual care for the homeless, a prison ministry, as well as at-risk youth and transitional work programs.
Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry
Aurora, IL
Founded in the 1950s, the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry serves a large clientele in the Aurora area. The staff provides nutritious, well-balanced food to individuals and families at several pickup locations. The organization also offers other critical services, including food delivery to local seniors.
Northern Illinois Food Bank
Geneva, IL
Serving the people of Illinois in 13 counties, the Northern Illinois Food Bank provides nutritious food, and healthy eating services. The overall organization serves over 250,000 meals per day, and partners with local food pantries to deliver meals to individuals and families.
Street Angels
Milwaukee, WI
Three nights per week, Street Angels’ buses deliver hot meals, bag lunches, clothing, blankets, and other weather-related supplies to people in the Milwaukee area who are struggling with homelessness. Through this outreach, the staff at Street Angels build relationships with the homeless community, which allows them to provide other services, such as resources to obtain shelter, addiction treatment, and other vital needs.
